Flower expo from today

Informing the same to media persons in Park premises on Thursday, ZP CEO P Shivshankar said that this year the department has planned unique concepts to attract the members of the public. They include ‘Pushpa Kalasha’ (with different varieties of roses) on the lines of ‘kalasha’ at Mahaveera Circle; ‘Deva Mantapa,’ using banana plants and various flowers; and ‘Nutrition hand garden’ wherein various vegetables grown in Park will be on display.
Besides, ‘Chinnara Loka,’ wherein special arrangements will be made to attract the children has been organised.

Meanwhile, various departments including agriculture, sericulture, veterinary and fisheries will provide information on various schemes and equipment. A food court and display and sale of various equipment will also be part of the expo.

The tickets for the show has been priced at Rs 10 for adults, Rs 5 for children and Rs 3 for students. The exhibition will be open between 9 am and 9 pm. Various cultural programmes have been organised on everyday after 6.30 pm while special contests have been planned on February 20. The exhibition will conclude on February 23.

Horticulture Department Senior AD N Somaiah, AD H N Hema and Siri Vice President Lakshmi Rao Aroor among others were present.
