<p>Bal, who is in his 40s, suffered a heart attack early Tuesday and was initially rushed to Aashlok Hospital in Safdarjung Enclave in South Delhi. He was later shifted to Medicity, where he had to undergo angioplasty - a technique used for mechanically widening a narrowed or obstructed blood vessel.<br /><br />According to Medicity's chairman Naresh Trehan, who is also a well-known cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon, Bal's condition is improving.<br /><br />"He is recovering well. It is too early to talk about his exact condition. He will be kept under medical observation for a minimum of two-three days,” Trehan told IANS.<br />"He suffered a heart attack. So many people get it every day. There is no such special reason,” he added.<br /><br />Trehan, however, pointed out that Bal's family history suggests they are very prone to heart attacks and hence he was “vulnerable” to it.<br /><br />Bal, popularly known as 'Gudda' in the fashion industry, has been described as master of fabric and fantasy.<br /><br />Apart from designing for many Bollywood celebrities, Bal also has international clients like Uma Thurman, Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell and Anna Kournikova.</p>
