<p>Hegde and Sudha Murthy will be conferred LL.D (Doctor of Laws) and K Radhakrishnan and P Sadananda Maiya, Director, MTR Foods will be conferred D.Sc (Doctor Of Science) during the third annual convocation to be held on March three, S C Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Tumkur University, told reporters.<br /><br />T A Dasappa, an educationist from Tiptur in Tumkur district, Yadalam N Gangadhar Setty, a philanthropist and Shatavadhani R Ganesh, a literary wizard will be conferred D.Litt (Doctor of Literature), during the convocation.<br /><br />Outlining the progress of Tumkur University, the Vice Chancellor said the University will introduce 17 job oriented courses from the next academic year.The University has at present has 20 post graduate disciplines, he said, adding the University which had no research centres, now boasts of 29 such centres in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science & Technology and Engineering.<br /><br />The University has entered into an Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), National Law School of India (both from Bangalore), Tata Institute of Social Changes (TISC), Mumbai and Mangalore University, he said.</p>
