<p>Air pollution had come down at nine locations in the city on September 9 when Karnataka bandh was observed against the Supreme Court order on releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) had monitored the ambient air quality for the parameters particulate matter (PM10), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). <br /><br />The KSPCB compared the values of September 9 to that of September 6, a normal working day. On September 9, the pollution had come down by 32.33% at ITPL Whitefield Road, KHB Industrial Area in Yelahanka by 80.4%, regional office Peenya Industrial Area by 36.1%, Swan Silk Private Limited in Peenya Industrial Area by 48.5%, Madhachari's house in Kaji Sonnenahalli by 17.2%, Banaswadi police station by 20.8%, Central Silk Board by 49.1%, Indira Gandhi Child Health Centre by 16.3% and Victoria Hospital by 20.3%. <br /><br />However, there was an increase in air pollution at Teri office on Old Airport road by 38.3%, UVCE at KR Circle (30%), Yeshwantpur police station (44.6%), Amco Batteries on Mysuru Road (29.5%), KSPCB at SG Halli (45.9%) and City railway station (6%).<br /> </p>
