Moderate quake shakes North East

A moderate intensity quake shook parts of Northeast early on Saturday. The quake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale had its epicentre at a place along the Indo-Myanmar border and occurred at 4.50 am, Met officials said.

The tremor was felt in many parts of the region including Guwahati. There was no report of any loss of life or damage to property.
