According to a press release, the seminar was inaugurated by President of Zilla Panchayat standing committee on Health and Education Rajashree S Hegde. Block Education Officer of Beltangady K K Puttaswamy presided. Senior Lecturer of Biosciences at Mangalore University Dr Prashanth Naik delivered the keynote address.
Resource persons
Prof Keshav T N of S D M College, Ujire, Scientist Dr Parashuram Chandravamshi from Agriculture Science Centre, Mangalore and Founder president Sasya Shamala M Dinesh Nayak from Vittal were the resource persons of the seminar.
In the evening, panel discussion and valedictory programme was held. BelthangadyTaluk Panchayat member Mahabala Gowda presided over the valedictory function in which Manager of Koyyuru Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Bank Ashok Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion. Around 250 people including farmers, students and members of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) participated in the programme. A modeldesigned by the students of the school to simulate the green house effect was a major attraction for the participants.
