Younger brother of the UAE Prez missing in plane crash

"Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al-Nahayan...was in a crash of a glider which was airborne in Morocco. The pilot was rescued and is in good condition. The search for His Highness is still continuing," UAE’s official news agency Wam said last evening.

The agency, however, did not provide a source for the information.
Sheikh Ahmed is the managing director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the largest investors of the world.

He is the younger brother of the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is also president of the United Arab Emirates.He is the son of UAE’s founder president Sheikh Zayed. Born in 1968, Sheikh Ahmed was ranked No. 27 on Forbes list of the world’s most powerful people last year.

He is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works.In 2008, his elder brother, Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed al-Nayahan died when his helicopter crashed into the Gulf.
