Though the water tank here has a storage capacity of 2.7 lakh litres of water, nearly 70,000 litres of water is supplied to the temple from the tank.<br /><br />The residents here allege that the valveman supplies water only to those who bribe him. The water is not supplied regularly and even when it is supplied it will be for not more than an hour. <br /><br />The villages who are entitled to get 86,000 litres of water everyday, barely manage to collect a few litres. Most of them are forced to get water from the nearby Devikere. <br />If one thinks the situation is same everywhere on the Hills, that would be a mistake. Hotels, construction sites, Sulabh toilets and other profit-making spots manage to get enough water. But, the poor villagers are not so lucky.
