The project will be implemented only after discussing the issue with the farmers after considering the Desai Report. “Protecting the interests of Tarikere farmers is as important as giving water to Chitradurga,” he said. <br /><br />Answering a query he said he is aware that there is no mention of the coffee special package in the budget though the Finance ministry has announced the package. However all efforts will be made to implement the package by looking into all other possibilities, he assured. <br /><br />The money required for Chikmagalur-Kadur railway route, i.e., Rs 80 crore is ready, but some issues need to be discussed with MLAs, divisional railways managers and South-Western Railways chief engineer.
