SC refuses to interfere in elephant corridor issue

A Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan refused to interfere in the order of the High Court which had directed the Tamil Nadu government to pay adequate compensation to the farmer.

Vishnu Ram Saravanavel, the farmer in a petition challenging the HC order,  said he should be given alternate land or the elephant corridor should be shifted from his village.
