With over 600 million people billed to get their identity come February 2011, the UID Authority has called upon the student community to do its bit. If you have brilliant academic credentials, here’s a golden chance to intern as also earn, and above all, mark your own uniqueness to the UID initiative. <br /><br />For, taking due cognisance of aspirations and talent gene pool of its GenX, the UID Authority is seeking to attract talent from technology, law, economics, policy, marketing, social science, public administration and management spheres. In fact, with several academic institutions and young scholars expressing a desire to contribute to the UID project, the authority is offering an internship programme for young Indian scholars with brilliant academic background from reputed academic institutions in the country and abroad.<br /><br />While interactions with young scholars will provide fresh new ideas and research support from field of academics, the authority notes that it will provide opportunity to young scholars to contribute to a project of national importance and insight into working of the government. Students possessing first class graduation degree pursuing post graduation / high second class post-graduation degree (with 55 per cent marks) pursuing research courses in economics/ finance/ management/ public administration/ social sciences at universities/ central universities, from recognised financial, economic institutions and national management institutes in India or abroad can apply for internships. Students pursuing the five-year integrated course in law (only in IV or V year) from National Law Schools in Bangalore, Bhopal, Hyderabad and Kolkata are also eligible.<br /><br />While the internship is of two-month duration, it is, however, flexible and depends on the time the intern is willing to spend with the authority and the authority’s own requirement.
