<p>A 34-year-old woman from Chikkaballapur was admitted at a private hospital in the City last<br />week and died on June 6. She had no morbid condition and was given Tamiflu. Her throat<br />swab was tested to be positive. The woman died of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome<br />(ARDS) and bilateral pneumonia.<br /><br />Similarly, the 30-year-old man from Chikmagalur was admitted to KMC Hospital, Manipal with cough and high fever. Inspite of taking Tamiflu, his condition worsened and was put on a ventilator. He died on June 9. <br /><br />According to a Health Department official, around five of the victim’s neighbours were referred to KMC after being suspected of H1N1 Influenza. <br /><br />Yet another person succumbed to H1N1 at KMC in Manipal on Wednesday. The deceased Abdul Razak (35),a native of Bhatkal, was admitted to KMC in Manipal on June 3 after he developed symptoms of H1N1.</p>
