<p>South Eastern Railway sources said the Duranto Express left Tatanagar station at around 7:55 am and was expected to reach Howrah by 11 am.<br /><br />All other halted trains, including Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express and the Up and Down Tatanagar-Kharagpur passenger trains have also resumed their onward journey at around 8 a.m. after being halted at Kalaikunda last night, the sources said.<br /><br />The trains were halted at Tatanagar, Kharagpur, Kalaikunda and other important stations after the Jhargram GRP alerted authorities last evening about a possible attack by the Maoists on Duranto.<br /><br />Duronto, which was at Ghatsila station, was immediately surrounded by gun-toting security personnel and passengers asked to switch off lights and lower shutters. The train was later taken to Tatanagar. <br /><br />According to the Jhargram GRP, a group of armed people had gathered at Jamui Bhadui, a known Maoist stronghold, near the Khatkhura halt station just an hour before the Duronto was to pass.<br /><br />The GRP apprehended trouble and immediately alerted the authorities in Kharagpur and Tatanagar.<br /><br />A year ago the Maoists had detained a train at Kalimouli near Ghatsila station.<br />After the May 28 Jnaneswari Express disaster which left 148 passengers dead, trains are not allowed to run between 10:00 pm to 5:00 am in the Kharagpur-Tatanagar and Kharagpur-Adra sections till June 14.</p>
