Vijay Damini (JG Sampson up), Imran Chisty-ridden Carla and Sirono jumped into the lead off the gate, with the others bunched up right behind. Carla and Sirono started to pull away at the straight and went head-to-head right till the finish line, the former taking the race by a short head.

Vijay Damini came in third while Walnut Creek (Suraj Narredu up) finished fourth.
