<p>Addressing the protesters, Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike Honourary President C N Shetty said that the beef eaters don’t need anyone’s approval to eat what they want. “We don’t need the government deciding for us what to eat, drink and wear. The organisations like RSS and Bhajarang Dal have no right to decide the lifestyle of others. Just because the majority population won’t opt for beef, the government can not decide against the minority population,” he said. <br /><br />The President of Meat Entrepreneurs Association Ali Hasan condemned the government for misinterpreting the things in the name of Constitution. “The Constitution has provided us the right to eat what we want and we don’t need our Fascist government to bring a single culture in the State. First let the government take care of the mining issue and then let it bother to talk about others food,” he said. He also informed that the association is ready to fight for justice till the end and their ultimate objective is to insist the government not to implement the bill. Victor Vas from Karnataka Christian Association said that human beings are supposed to worship god and not the creatures that are created by god. He insisted the government not to trouble the poor people, even if it is unable to help them. Suresh Bhat Bakrabail from Komu Sauharda Vedike, B Shekhar from CPI, P B D’Sa from PUCL and others were present. The movement is said to have been supported by 148 organisations across the State including Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi, Ahinda, PUCL, CPI, Catholic Sabha etc.</p>
