<p>The resolution sought to regularise the industries, whose licenses were cancelled for causing pollution, by levying administration charges.<br /><br />The Court was hearing a petition filed by former Mayor P R Ramesh, who had challenged this stating it was contrary to the Water (Prevention and Control) of Pollution Act - 1974.<br /><br />The petitioner, citing a GO, said that KSPCB cannot give its consent unless the industries have Environment Clearence.
