Allahabad Bank opensits branch in Udupi

Speaking to the mediapersons, Managing Director J P Dua said the total branches in Bangalore zone stands at 38, of which 28 branches are in Karnataka and 10 are in Kerala.
Of these, one of the specialised industrial finance branch with a business portfolio of Rs 680 crore that caters exclusively to the needs of corporate clients. The Bank has central processing hub at Bangalore which is directly involved in assisting the branches by carrying out back office functions of clearing cheque collection, MICR clearing payment of multicity cheques and speed clearing, bulk data entry and other clearing related functions of the branches.

The total business of Bangalore zone stood at Rs 3,507 crore with YoY growth of about 93 per cent.

The bank has 207 ATMs and plans are on to add 100 more ATMs. About 85 per cent of the branches are on CBS platform and by December 31, almost all branches will under CBS platform.  In addition to its overseas branch in Hong Kong and its representative office in China, the bank proposes to open a branch in Dhaka in Bangladesh. The bank has 17 Lead districts, of which 13 are in Utter Pradesh, 2 in Jarkand and 1 each in Madhya Pradesh and Bengal. As many as 7 districts are under complete financial inclusion. Executive Director M R Nayak was present.
