Artificial limbs and medical aid distributed

'Udyog mela' for handicapped soon: DC
Dr Zakir Husain Memorial Trust and Praxy Fernandes Memorial Trust organised a camp for distribution of aid and appliances for locomotive disabled and hearing impaired among the economically disadvantaged sections of the society at Lions Limb Centre, Wenlock Hospital on Tuesday under the Aid for Disabled Person (ADIP) Scheme of the Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment.

Fund crunch
The ADIP Scheme provides that travelling cost to a limit of Rs 250 for beneficiary irrespective of number of visits to the centre should be provided and with a certificate from doctor or rehabilitation professional, travel expenses subject to the same limit would be admissible to an attendant/escort accompanying the beneficiary. |
