The Russian State Duma, the lower house of Parliament, may pass a bill recognising the independence of Georgias two breakaway provinces, South Ossetia and Abkhazia, on Monday next at its emergency session.
The Duma committees on international relations and CIS affairs are expected to finalise the draft of the bill today.
