Attakkalari presentation
The second batch of diploma students of Attakkalari will graduate on August 23. On the occasion, graduating students will present their performances at JSS Auditorium, I Main, 8th block, Jayanagar at 6 pm.                                      

Mohiniyattam
Bangalore Gayana Samaja, K R Road, Basavanagudi celebrates its Foundation Day on August 24 at 5 pm. This will be followed by a Mohiniyattam performance by Gopika Varma on an exclusive presentation of Swathi Thirunal compositions set to music by Semmangudi.

Salsa

Carnatic vocal
On the occasion of Semmangudi Birth Centenary, the Bangalore Gayana Samaja presents an interactive multimedia presentation on the Carnatic vocal artist par excellence, Padma Vibhushan Sri Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer on August 23 from 6 pm onwards at Samaja Auditorium, K R Road, Basavanagudi. The presentation is conceived and presented by veteran violinist Vid H K Venkatram and assisted by senior vocalists Saralaya Sisters.
Karaoke star

Malhar utsav
Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan presents Malhar utsav, a festival of classical music on August 23, 5.30 pm at Khincha Hall, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road.

Air guitaring
At the Independence Rock fest on Sunday, there will be activities like air guitaring contest (for the finals), signing of banners at the stall with words of their favourite rock songs, getting tattoos done on denims and arms, signing denims with customer pledges.
