UTV Motion Pictures and the team of Mumbai Meri Jaan paid a humble tribute and condolences to all the victims and the families targeted by terrorists, through their Mumbai Meri Jaan signature campaign. The head start for the campaign began with a display of a hoarding with a wreath (dedicated to the martyrs), urging the citizens of India to take a pledge against terrorism. The Mumbai Meri Jaan signature campaign was initiated with the objective of reinforcing the message of communal harmony on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of CCBT (Concern Citizen for Better Tomorrow).
The film stars R. Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles and follows the lives of people from all strata of Mumbai as they tackle the after-effects of a fatal incident that brings out the best and sometimes the worst in them. It's a story of ordinary people set in one extraordinary circumstance — that one event on the evening of July 11, 2006.
