METRO NOTES

No power today

There will be no power supply on August 28, from 11 am to 5 pm, to Ideal Homes 1st and 2nd stage, Kenchenahalli, Shankarappa Layout, Janapriya Layout, some parts of H V Halli, R R Nagar temple, Marappa Layout, Doddakempaiah Layout and surrounding areas.

Health camp

MVJ College of Engineering has arranged a free health check-up camp on August 28 at the Government Primary School in Channasandra, Whitefield. 

The camp will feature health check-ups by specialists from various departments. Free basic investigations, basic drugs, referral to hospital for facilities like surgeries and special investigations will be provided. Over 25 volunteers and six staff volunteers will be assisting a team of 20 doctors.

Cabinet nod for road widening
 
The Cabinet, which met on Wednesday, has decided to approve widening the stretch between Hosur Road and Laskar Road and from Enkay Factory to Shoolay Circle at a cost of Rs 14.56 crore.

The Cabinet decided to release Rs 25 crore for augmenting drinking water supply, including drilling of borewells in the seven CMCs, one TMC and 110 villages newly added to BBMP. The road near Srirampuram bridge will be widened at a cost of Rs 5.62 crore.
