The Department of Geography and Geoinformatics of Bangalore University is organising a national level training on GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing under the sponsorship of National Natural Resource Management System of the Department of Space, Government of India. Dr Ashok D Hanjagi, will be the Director for Training Programme which will be held from 08-09-2008 to 28-09-2008.

Eligibility: University/College teachers, research scholars working in Earth Sciences (Geography, Geology and Environment Science) are eligible. Candidates applying from State and central government offices will also be considered based on GIS application in their respective offices. Basic Computer knowledge is preferable.

How to apply: Eligible candidates should submit an application in the given format. Application must be submitted through the Heads of their respective Departments/Colleges/ offices. A brief bio-data and certificates relating to basic computers are to be enclosed with the application.
