A painting exhibition on Yakhagana series by young artists from Udupi and Mangalore “Yaksha varna” will be organised at Vibhuthi Art Gallery Chitrakala Mandir on August 29.

Speaking to the media, Yakhagana Kala Ranga President Taloor Shivaram Shetty informed that the display will be inaugurated by MLA Raghupathy Bhat. Chitrakala Mandir Director Dr U C Niranjan will be honoured,  he added.
The proceedings of the paintings will be promoted towards “Yaksha nidhi” a welfare fund for the professional Yakhagana artistes. As many as 20 artists will exhibit 40  paintings and each will contribute 2 of their creativity.

Vasantha Rao, Basavaraj Kutni, Praveen Kumar, Prasad Rao, Prasad Rao, Rajendra Kedge, Manoj Kini are some of the artists who will display their paintings on the occasion. Chairman e card Vasanth Rao and Yakshagana Kala Ranga Secretary Murali Kadekar were present.
