Jilla Makkala Sahithya Sangama will organise ‘Makkala dhwani’ on August 30, at Vidyadayini High School, Surathkal.
Addressing a press meet, General Secretary B Srinivas Rao said “the programme will be hosted by the children themselves. Poets meet, story telling, talent show will be held.” Children who have excelled in their field will be felicitated on the occasion.
The programme will be inaugurated by Alva’s Education Trust Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva. Children’s book will be released on the occasion. Kannada Sahithya Parishath former president Harikrishna Punaroor will release souvenir. ‘Makkala geetha,’ ‘gayana,’ ‘kuncha,’ ‘narthana’ will also be organised on the occasion.
