The protest was held to condemn the rise in the essential commodities. They condemned the act of the the police who behaved rudely with students’ leader Shettiganahalli V Ambareesh, who was into peaceful agitation.
They demanded that the Superintendent of Police be transferred and strict action should be taken against those police officials who were involved in the act.
Gandhinagar Narayan aswamy, Holur Shankar, B M Mubarak of JD (S), V Geetha, Asha, Varadenahalli Venkatesh, lecturer Suggandahalli Muniraju, C V Nagaraju and others led the protest.
