One of the world’s most popular lists, Maxim Hot 100 is coming to India and has put Deepika Padukone in the ranks of Lindsay Lohan, Angelina Jolie and Marissa Miller. The Indian edition to be called LG Scarlet Maxim Hot 100.

Maxim HOT 100 is one of the most globally sort after and celebrated franchise property of the worlds largest men’s magazine Maxim. It is a global list which is hugely appreciated and has now made its debut in India with LG Scarlet as the title presenters. Being the first year in India, the list aims to come up with the list of the hottest 100 girls worldwide with the Indian audience.

The winner of this most awaited list worldwide is Deepika Padukone. She joins the likes of previous number ones — Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Marissa Miller by topping the list that features several of the Indian Film Industry’s top celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.  

The winner was decided after going through reader reaction, industry feedback and gauging the potential to be the next big thing on an international level. Deepika was found to be an ideal girl who is 100% Indian and has the potential to represent the new India on a global glam market. She was found to be a fresh face with a large appeal among the young urban Indians.

Overwhelmed with the honour, Deepika Padukone, said, "I am so excited about this. To be honest, personally I never thought of myself as sexy or hot but if that's the call that people have taken, then I hope I live up to it!"
