Bihar Election Result Constituency-wise: RJD emerges single largest party, but NDA in the driver's seat

The NDA managed to garner a simple majority in the Bihar assembly notwithstanding a sharp fall in the tally of the JD(U) headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The saffron party won 74 seats while the JD(U) won 43. With four seats each won by junior allies HAM and VIP, the NDA is poised to have 125 seats in its kitty, three more than the number required for a simple majority.

Ram Ratan Singh of the Communist Party of India won the Teghra seat beating Janata Dal (United) candidate Birendra Kumar by a margin of 47979 votes.

Saud Alam of the Rashtriya Janata Dal won the Thakurganj seat beating Independent candidate Gopal Kumar Agarwal by a margin of 23887 votes.

Anil Kumar of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) won the Tikari seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Sumant Kumar by a margin of 2630 votes.

Veena Bharti of the Janata Dal (United) won the Triveniganj seat beating Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Santosh Kumar by a margin of 3031 votes.

Alok Kumar Mehta of the Rashtriya Janata Dal won the Ujiarpur seat beating Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sheel Kumar Roy by a margin of 23268 votes.

Siddharth Patel of the Janata Dal (United) won the Vaishali seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Sanjeev Singh by a margin of 7413 votes.

Dhirendra Pratap Singh Alias Rinku Singh of the Janata Dal (United) won the Valmiki Nagar seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Rajesh Singh by a margin of 21585 votes.

Ashok Kumar of the Janata Dal (United) won the Warisnagar seat beating Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) candidate Phoolbabu Singh by a margin of 13801 votes.

Aruna Devi of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Warsaliganj seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Satish Kumar by a margin of 9030 votes.

Birendra Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Wazirganj seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Shashi Shekhar Singh by a margin of 22430 votes.

Amarjeet Kushwaha of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation) won the Ziradei seat beating Janata Dal (United) candidate Kamala Singh by a margin of 25510 votes.

Dr. Ramanuj Prasad of the Rashtriya Janata Dal won the Sonepur seat beating Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Vinay Kumar Singh by a margin of 6686 votes.

Er. Shashi Bhushan Singh of the Rashtriya Janata Dal won the Sugauli seat beating Vikassheel Insaan Party candidate Ramchandra Sahni by a margin of 3447 votes.

Lalit Narayan Mandal of the Janata Dal (United) won the Sultanganj seat beating Indian National Congress candidate Lalan Kumar by a margin of 11565 votes.

In a closely-fought battle in Chakai, independent candidate Sumit Kumar Singh wins by a margin of 581 votes.In Chenari, Congress's Murari Prasad Gautam wins by a margin of over 18,000 votes against JD(U) candidate Lalan Paswan.

The BJP has won 32 seats, while the RJD with 31 seats in its kitty is closely trailing the saffron party. The JD(U) has won 20 seats, the Congress seven, according to the EC.
