<p>Anticipating the possibility of forming a non-BJP government at the Centre, leaders of the Congress-JD(S) coalition, on Sunday appealed to their partymen to reftrain from making any controversial statement on the coalition government.</p>.<p>“On May 23, we will see the emergence of a new secular and progressive government at the centre. It's important that all parties who want a non-BJP government display unity and show citizens that they can work together and deliver a stable government. In this context, it's my earnest appeal to the leaders of both Congress and JD(S) in Karnataka to refrain from making any controversial statement in public,” KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao tweeted.</p>.<p>Gundu Rao said the goal of the coalition leaders should to be to oust the BJP from power at the Centre and that all energies should be focused towards it.</p>.<p>State JD(S) president A H Vishwanath, who had been vocal in criticising Congress legislature party leader Siddaramaiah, said in Mysuru that there will be no problem to the coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy. The government will continue and complete its full term under the guidance of Siddaramaiah, he added.</p>.<p>Kumaraswamy, too, had tweeted, asking the partymen not to make contradictory statements.</p>.<p>“We are on the verge of formation of a new government at the Centre. At this juncture, where all efforts are being made to form a non-BJP government, contradictory statements by leaders of coalition partners #Congress-#JDS may mar such efforts. Hence, my humble request to the leaders of both the parties to restrain from making contradictory- controversial statements in public and to support the cause,” he tweeted.</p>.<p>While Vishwanath was attacking Siddaramaiah and accused him of not co-operating in the smooth functioning of the government, JD(S) leader Basavaraj Horatti had gone a step ahead, calling for the dissolution of the Assembly.</p>
