<p>Bollywood's master of stunts, Veeru Devgan, passed away in Mumbai on Monday morning.</p>.<p>He was 85 and ailing for some time. Devgan is survived by wife Veena Devgn, two sons—Ajay Devgn and Anil Devgan and two daughters—Kavita and Neelam.</p>.<p>He had choreographed stunts in films for the likes of actor Dilip Kumar, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan to name.</p>.<p>He initially wanted to become an actor but became a stuntman and later an action choreographer. One of Veeru's most famous action scenes is son Ajay's first appearance on the silver screen -- balancing on two bikes- in his debut film "Phool Aur Kaante".</p>.<p>He also turned director with film "Hindustan Ki Kasam" in 1999.</p>.<p>Action director Sham Kaushal, the father of actor Vicky Kaushal of Uri fame, expressed shock over his death. "RIP Veeru Devgan ji. Just came to know about this sad news. As an Action Director always ahead of his times & as human being par excellence. I became a stuntman with his blessings on 8th August, 1980 as he signed my application to become a stuntman & made me part of his team," he tweeted.</p>.<p>"Sad to know that veteran action director Veeru Devgan ji is no more. He was a genius in choreographing fights on the big screen, when there were no facilities available," said filmmaker Ashoke Pandit.</p>
