Rahul's remarks have triggered a political slugfest and the BJP has accused him of maligning India on foreign soil and seeking foreign interventions, while the Congress has hit back at the ruling party by citing instances of Prime Minister Narendra Modi raising internal politics abroad.House proceedings have remained disrupted since resuming for the second leg of the budget session on Monday.The parliamentary proceedings will resume on March 16 at 11 am.

Joshi said that the Congress leader made false claims about the nation on foreign soil. "This is the height of insult... to the Parliament. Asking other countries to intervene in the matters of India is a grave insult to the nation," Joshi said.

He added that the leader should apologise for his remarks on the floor of the House and strict action be taken against the leader.
