Haryana records 6 more Covid-19 deaths, 35 new cases

Haryana on Sunday reported six more Covid-19-related fatalities, taking the death toll to 9,599, while 35 new cases pushed the infection count to 7,69,539.

According to the health department's daily bulletin, the latest deaths include one each from Gurgaon, Hisar, Panipat and Sirsa districts.

Among the new cases, 10 each were reported from Gurgaon and Rewari districts.

The total active cases in the state stands at 817 while the overall recoveries so far have reached 7,59,123. The recovery rate is 98.65 per cent, the bulletin said. - PTI.

Over 33% of India's target population got 1st jab

After six months of vaccination, more than one third of India’s target population has received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine which would protect them from developing a serious disease when infected, whereas 22 out of 37 states and union territories provided the shots to more than 40% of their target population.

Karnataka logs 1,708 fresh Covid cases, 36 deaths

Karnataka on Sunday registered 1,708 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the total cases to 28,83,947 while 36 deaths pushed the toll to 36,157, the Health department said.

There were 29,291 active cases in the state while as many as 2,463 patients recovered in the state taking the total recoveries to 28,18,476.

Delhi Covid vaccine stock to last for less than a day

Delhi had less than a day's stock of coronavirus vaccine doses left on Sunday morning, according to the vaccination bulletin issued by the city government.

The national capital received 60,000 doses of Covishield on Saturday, taking the total number of doses to 72,240, the bulletin said.

Gujarat reported 33 Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 8,24,493, while one death in Ahmedabad took the toll to 10,076, an official said. The day also saw 71 people getting discharged, which increased the recovery count to 8,13,924, which is 98.72 per cent of the tally, leaving the state with 493 active cases, he said. - PTI.
