<p>Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday asked the Centre to immediately deploy Army in the national capital amid unabated communal clashes with the toll rising to at least 25.</p>.<p>Kejriwal said he has been in touch with a large number of people and situation "alarming".</p>.<p>"Police, despite all its efforts, is unable to control situation and instil confidence. Army should be called in and curfew imposed in rest of affected areas immediately," he tweeted.</p>.<p>On Tuesday, AAP MLA Atishi had said violence and arson has been continuing and "police, civilians, Hindus, Muslims" were injured in large numbers.</p>.<p>"If police is unable to maintain law and order, why is Shah not imposing curfew? Why is the army not being called in?" she had tweeted.</p>.<p>Senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai also echoed Kejriwal and urged the Centre to deploy the Army to bring the situation under control.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited the violence-hit northeast Delhi areas and interacted with interacting with locals.</p>.<p>Kejriwal also said his government would give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of Head Constable Ratan Lal who was killed in the violence.</p>.<p>"As per the Delhi government's policy, we will give Rs 1 crore to head constable Ratan Lal's family," he said in the Delhi Assembly.</p>.<p>Kejriwal, who had visited Lal's family on Tuesday, also said, "politics of hatred and violence will not be tolerated. The common man of Delhi did not indulge in violence; outsiders, some political elements are involved in it." </p>
