Metrolife lists a few recent incidents of #PeakBengaluru moments.

Bengalureans are often bonding over #PeakBengaluru moments on the Internet.

These are incidents that are peculiar to Bengaluru, whether it is a driver who has installed an office chair in place of the regular autorickshaw seat or IT professionals attending meetings in traffic. Metrolife lists a few recent incidents.

Virtual receptionist

Virtual Hotel receptionist helps customers check-in to the hotel room.

Ananya Narang, CEO of startup Entourage, posted about a virtual receptionist that helped her check-in at an unnamed city hotel instead of a front desk staff. She posted on Linkedin on October 6. “Everything was coordinated via trained hospitality staff sitting at their head office simultaneously managing multiple properties (sic),” she wrote along with a photo of the staff seen on a computer screen.

‘Coffee from Skies’ 

The advertisement features a man pouring hot coffee into a glass. Its three-dimensional effect makes it appear as if he is offering coffee to passing commuters.

A video of a 3D billboard announcing the launch of a restaurant chain gained attention on X in late September. The advertisement showed a digital lifelike figure of a man pouring coffee into a cup — it received more than 1.42 lakh views. It was posted by Venugopal, an X user. His note alongside the video said: “Peak Bengaluru Moment, Hot Coffee to Sip from Skies. Next Level Of Advertisement In BANGALORE!”(sic)

On September 26, X user Vaibhav Yadav, a brand identity designer, posted a photograph of an HSR Layout restaurant bearing a poster saying, “Sorry No Discount. Owner has EMIs and rentals to pay”. 

Traffic break

When Sharanya Mohan found herself stuck in Bengaluru traffic, she made use of her time by jumping out of the autorickshaw she was commuting in and joining a group of dancers on the street. “Thank you, Blr for being my home away from home and filling my life with wholesome experiences! These people were such a vibe,” she posted on Instagram. 

QR Code

In September, Vishvajeet posted a photograph of a tech-savvy autorickshaw driver on his X handle. When asked about payment method, the latter showed his PhonePe QR code on his smartwatch. The post said: “Auto anna pulled out the #peakBengaluru move”.
