<p class="title">The BJP has planned to bring together one lakh farmers for a massive protest on December 10, when the winter session of the legislature is scheduled to begin in Belagavi. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The saffron party looks to gain traction ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The BJP staged a protest at the Mysuru Bank circle here, as part of a statewide agitation against the Congress-JD(S) coalition, especially Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for a remark against a woman farmer that became controversial.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Throughout the state in almost all taluks and districts, we're holding protests against Kumaraswamy’s statement on a woman farmer and against his inability to waive crop loans at a time when 100 taluks are drought-hit,” BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, who led the protest, said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“On December 10, when the winter session of legislature starts in Belagavi, we will gather one lakh farmers for a massive protest,” he added. The upcoming winter session of legislature will be the first for the Kumaraswamy administration.</p>
