<p class="title">Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the Rajatha Sambhrama programme commemorating the 25th year of M N Rajendra Kumar’s tenure as the president of SCDCC (South Canara District Central Co-Operative) Bank Limited, on Saturday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters on Friday, ‘Sambhrama’ committee chairman Deviprasad Shetty said that the silver jubilee celebrations would be held at the massive pandal erected at Nehru Maidan. </p>.<p class="bodytext">“The pandal covers an area of 3,53,000 sqft feet and is named after cooperative movement pioneer Molahalli Shiva Rao,” he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara would release “Sahakari Veera” highlighting the achievements of M N Rajendra Kumar, authored by Journalist P B Harish Rai. Souvenir of Navodaya SHGs would be released by Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Cooperation Minister Bandeppa Kashempur would inaugurate the cooperative museum and library at the SCDCC Bank premises. District-in-charge Minister U T Khader would issue cheques to the beneficiaries of the ‘Badavara Bandhu’ scheme.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The main dais would accommodate 250 guests. Two daises on either side of the main one would accommodate 100 guests each. The main and other two daises were named ‘Rajatha Sambhrama Vedike’, ‘Sahakari Vedike’ and ‘Navodaya Vedike’ respectively.</p>.<p class="bodytext">For the first time in the history of Mangaluru, Nehru Maidan and the adjacent football ground would be utilised for seating. As many as 25 LED screens would be installed at the venue. As many as 100 CCTV cameras were installed.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Parking arrangements were made at Town Hall, university college (VVIP), St Aloysius College, Bunts’ Hostel, Shanti Niyala and Emmekere grounds.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As many as 3,000 buses (government and private) and 1,000 tempo travellers were engaged to ferry members of Navodaya self-help groups from different parts of the region. The SHGs would be permitted to park at Gold Finch grounds near Bengre-Kuloor.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Traffic police, home guards and 1,000 volunteers would facilitate smooth flow of traffic. The procession from SCDCC Bank would be flagged off by Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D V Sadananda Gowda on January 19 at 9 am.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A cultural procession comprising 61 art troupes and 25,000 people would pass through Hampankatta and AB Shetty circle, to end at the venue. Cleanliness would be taken care of during the procession and also during the formal programme, Deviprasad Shetty said.</p>
