<p>In a bid to exert pressure on the government to withdraw its order on school fee cut, a consortium of private school management associations has decided to stage a massive protest in the city on February 23.</p>.<p>The consortium of 11 associations will take out a protest rally from City railway station to Freedom Park. According to the organisers, more than 25,000 people are expected to take part in the protest.</p>.<p>Also, the private unaided schools in the state will remain shut on the protest day, which happens to be a day after the reopening of schools for grades 6 to 8. This will be compensated on Saturday, said private schools management representatives.</p>.<p>D Shashi Kumar, general secretary, Associated Management of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka, told <span class="italic">DH</span>, “There are several issues which are not addressed by the government. Some of them are pressing demands.” </p>
