<p>The state government has convened a high-level meeting in Bengaluru on August 4 to discuss rehabilitation measures for areas affected by mining.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“I’ve personally visited areas where mining takes place. I’ve instructed officers concerned to prepare a comprehensive report and attend the meeting,” Minister for Mines and Geology Rajashekhar Patil told reporters after chairing a meeting with his department’s officers. </p>.<p class="bodytext">“The government will commence rehabilitation measures after analysing the report. A mobile app to provide information about construction materials will be launched shortly,” he said.</p>
