Normally, labourers from North Karnataka would help in transplanting paddy seedlings in the slushy fields.</p>.<p class="bodytext">However, due to the pandemic and the resulting absence of migrant labourers, the transplantation of seedlings was being done at a slow pace, according to sources.</p>
