<p class="title">Urging authorities to fulfil the demands by the Yarava community, a rally will be taken out in Ponnampet on February 15, under the aegis of District and Taluk Yarava Yuva Okkoota, said Yarava Yuva Okkoota leader P S Mutta.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, he said that a memorandum will be submitted to the district administration, urging the state government to recommend to the Central government to announce Yarava community as a primitive tribal group.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He further said that separate funds should be released from Maharshi Valmiki Abhivruddhi Nigama for the development of the Yarava community.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Youth from Yarava community should be directly recruited for government jobs and a separate authority should be instituted for the same. Yarava families should be provided with agricultural lands, he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">P S Mutta alleged that the government should take immediate measures to provide old age, handicapped and widow pensions to the beneficiaries.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The pension is not being paid from the past four months, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Leaders Y C Shankru, Y M Siddu, P B Raju, P M Ramu, P J Subramani and P C Suresh were present in the press meet.</p>
