<p>Kollegal legislator N Mahesh said on Wednesday that he was expelled by BSP chief Mayawati due to “communication gap.”</p>.<p>Mayawati ordered Mahesh’s expulsion from the party after he abstained from Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s trust vote on Tuesday despite a direction to vote in his favour.</p>.<p>Mahesh, however, said he remained neutral and did not attend the Assembly session based on instructions of BSP Rajya Sabha member and Karnataka state in-charge Ashok Siddarth. </p>.<p><strong>Karnataka LIVE |<a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/liveblog/karnataka-live-bjp-awaiting-instruction-from-high-command-to-stake-claim-to-form-government-749250.html" target="_blank"> BJP awaiting instruction from High Command to stake claim to form government</a></strong></p>.<p>“I was expelled due to communication gap. This will be set right. I will continue in the party,” Mahesh clarified, adding that he had not violated the party’s diktat.</p>.<p>The former minister said that he did not know much about Twitter, when pointed out that Mayawati had tweeted that he should vote. “I’m not on Twitter,” he said. “I was inducted into the Cabinet on Mayawati’s instructions. She directed me to resign and come out of the Cabinet before Lok Sabha elections as the Congress was not respecting the Mahagathbandhan. I resigned and requested a separate chair in the Assembly,” he said.</p>
