<p>Lashing out at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee for her “outsider” jibe at the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that a “son of the soil will be the Chief Minister” if the saffron party is voted to power in the Assembly elections. Modi also said that no Indian was an outsider in Bengal.</p>.<p>“Didi, no Indian is an outsider here. All are sons of Bharat Mata. A son of the soil will be the Chief Minister in the BJP government which we are going to form in Bengal,” said Modi, while he was speaking at a rally in the East Medinipur district.</p>.<p>He alleged that BJP leaders were being dubbed as “tourists” and were ridiculed and insulted. The prime minister said that “ the people of the land of Tagore” do not consider anyone as an "outsider".</p>.<p><strong><a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tag/west-bengal-assembly-elections-2021">All you need to know about West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021</a></strong></p>.<p>Asking the TMC supremo of coming out clean on what she has done in the last 10 years at the helm of Bengal, the Prime Minister said that in democracy, victory or defeat is determined by the work one has done for the people, but Mamata is refusing to tell what she has done in two terms. “If someone asks her what she has done, she is abusing them and getting angry,” he said.</p>.<p>The prime minister accused the TMC government of failing to maintain law and order in Bengal. He alleged that unlike the neighbouring Assam, where peace and stability were prevailing under the BJP rule, in Bengal there was only violence and lawlessness.</p>.<p>“Earlier, there used to be violence and tension in Assam. But in the last five years there has been peace and stability. Those who resorted to separatism have returned to the mainstream. He also said that the people of Nandigram will give her a “befitting reply” in the Assembly elections.</p>.<p>Taking potshots at the chief minister for the ‘Duare Sarkar’ (government at the doorstep) program, Modi said that on May 2 she will be “shown the door” by the people.</p>
