Parliament Highlights: RS passes The Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2022; both Houses adjourned for the day amid Oppn ruckus

Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day on Thursday amid sloganeering by Congress members against the alleged misuse of the Enforcement Directorate by the government. As soon as the House met at 2 pm, papers were laid on the table and two resolutions were adopted amid continued sloganeering by Congress members. Rajya Sabha adjourned till Friday at 11 am after passing The Family Courts (Amendment) Bill 2022 amid protest by the Opposition MPs on the "misuse" of central agencies like ED by the Modi government.

Cong calls meeting of party MPs as ED seizes Herald House

The Congress has called a meeting of all its MPs on Thursday to derive the future course of action after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sealed the Herald House here.
