<p>West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday alleged that police personnel from BJP ruled states were brought in Nandigram to terrorise the voters. Without naming her adversary and former protegee Suvendu Adhikari, the Trimamool Congress (TMC) supremo issued a challenge to him saying that her party will give a befitting reply to "traitors".</p>.<p>Speaking at a rally in the Sonachura area of Nandigram, the Chief Minister further alleged that these police personnel from BJP ruled states were trying to tilt the Nandigram elections in favour of the BJP.</p>.<p>“Police personnel from Madhya Pradesh have been deployed to terrorise voters in Nandigram and tilt the balance in BJP’s favour,” said Mamata.</p>.<p><strong>Read more: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/east-and-northeast/west-bengal-polls-close-contest-between-mamata-and-suvendu-at-nandigram-968249.html" target="_blank">West Bengal polls: Close contest between Mamata and Suvendu at Nandigram</a></strong></p>.<p>She also said that she was confident of a thumping victory from Nandigram and that the TMC will come to power in Bengal for the third time.</p>.<p>“They (police personnel from BJP ruled states) will be here only for a couple of days. Rest assured, we will be back and give a befitting reply to traitors,” said Mamata. She also said that the TMC has informed the Election Commission about the actions of police personnel from other states.</p>.<p>Without naming the BJP, the Chief Minister alleged that the saffron party was planning to kill their own people and blame the TMC to incite a riot.</p>.<p>“We have received information that they (BJP) are planning to kill one of their own people and put the blame on us to incite a riot. Be alert against any attempt to incite communal riots,” said Mamata.</p>.<p>She also said that the people from all communities in Nandigram were united in the agitation against forcible land acquisition during the Left Front era and urged the people to be on guard against attempts to create communal tension.</p>.<p>“We have to stay united against the riot mongers,” said Mamata.</p>.<p>Earlier in the day, BJP supporters shouted slogans of ‘Jai Shree Ram;’ while Mamata's convoy was passing in the Reyapara area of Nandigram. However, Mamata did not react and remained calm inside the vehicle.
