Rani Lakshmi Bai proved women can play effective role in defence, security: Rajnath Singh

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on November 17 highlighted the role of women in defence and security matters while addressing a gathering at ‘Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv’ in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

Singh said, “Rani Lakshmi Bai gave a new dimension to women power. Her being a woman never became a hindrance in the battlefield. She has proved that women can play an effective role in defense and security matters when given an opportunity.”
