<p>Former AIADMK leader, who was rushed to the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening following complaints of fever and breathlessness, was “stable” on Thursday. Doctors at the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital said she was being taken to the Victoria Hospital for undergoing a CT scan of her chest.</p>.<p>“When she came in at 6: 30 to 7:00 pm yesterday, she came in with breathlessness and cough and had a low oxygen saturation level, now it is back to normal after management. Her condition is stable. She also had breakfast and walked around," said Dr Maonj H V, Dean of Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital. Sources said Dr Venkatesh, Sasikala's relative and family physician, her nephew T T V Dhinakaran, and a few other family members met her inside the hospital on Thursday morning.</p>.<p>“Dr Venkatesh is the family doctor and he gave his opinion on her health condition to the doctors,” a family source said. The source further added that if the CT scan too rules out any “major lung infection”, Sasikala is likely to be discharged in the next few days. Sasikala, 67, was shifted to the hospital on Wednesday evening after her blood oxygen dropped to less than normal level. She was brought in an ambulance from the Parappana Agrahara jail and taken inside the hospital in a wheelchair.</p>.<p>The hospital on Wednesday said Sasikala, who has comorbidities of hypertension, diabetes and hypothyroidism, was admitted with cough and fever. Bowring Hospital authorities said Sasikala is currently under treatment and a panel of doctors will review her condition at noon.</p>.<p>Sasikala's hospitalisation comes exactly a week before she is set to walk out of Parappana Agrahara prison after completing her four-year jail term in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
