Sixty migrants feared drowned crossing Mediterranean from Libya
SOS Mediterranee said it rescued 25 people in a very weak condition in co-ordination with the Italian Coast Guard and that two unconscious people were flown to Sicily by helicopter.
We are deeply troubled by news of a shipwreck in the Central Med. #OceanViking reported to have rescued 25 people who left Zawya, Libya a week ago with approximately 60 more still missing.
Urgent action is needed to strengthen maritime patrols and prevent further tragedies. pic.twitter.com/aTvTodLMEK
