If you are looking for a breakout from the cacophony of city life and enjoy the company of a waterfall, then Koosalli fall is the place.

Situated near Byndoor, what makes this fall unique is the fact that it gushes down the hillock in six steps, one above the other.

Reaching Koosalli is easy and tough both! One may have to travel on the National Highway from Mangalore-Udupi-Kundapur to Shiroor. At the Forest Check post near Shiroor and take a right turn. After traveling 12 kms, you will find a village named Toodalli. You can depend on vehicle for another 8 kms to reach Kallikone. From here, the trekkers or tourists will have to tread their way for six kms to reach Koosalli fall. Since the entire route is covered with dense forest, it is better to have a guide or an expert.

Another beautiful reason why one should go to Koosalli is the fact that the water from the fall flows as a stream and the trekkers will have to simply follow the stream to reach the fall. The walk along the stream itself will be a memorable experience.

Most of the people opt to see the three series of waterfall and return because the remaining three is not easily accessible. Those wanting to have the ‘breath taking’ view of the entire fall, should take help of experts.

This fall gushing from 470 feet height can be seen as a single milky white stream amidst dense green mountain, from a distance at the Kundapur-Byndoor route itself.

While most of the falls go dry during summer and regain glory during monsoon, Koosalli fall is one fall which never dries up. During rainy season, its beauty only enhances. At the fifth step of the fall there is a deep pond, which is a lavish spectacle.

Most of the people who plan a trip to Koosalli make it a point to go to Kudumari fall, which is just 8 kms from Koosalli. The two falls flow opposite to each other.

So plan a trip to Koosalli and Kudumari falls right away and relish the bounty of nature.
