A 20-year-old youth was arrested for making obscene MMS clip of a class 12 student living near his house in west Delhi, police said on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Jeetu, a resident of Nihal Vihar in west Delhi.
The incident came to light when the girl allegedly tried to commit suicide on Friday night by hanging herself.

“She was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where her condition is said to be stable,” said a police official.

The girl told the police that Jeetu had made an obscene MMS clip of her after taking photographs from her album.

“He was threatening her to have a relationship with him. He had also threatened her a few days ago that if she was not willing to start an illicit relationship with him, he will make the MMS public.

“When she didn’t pay heed to the threat, Jeetu gave the clip to his friends,” said Additional Commissioner of Police V Renganathan.

According to Renganathan, when she came to know about the incident, she tried to commit suicide.

“Jeetu is being interrogated. No case regarding the incident has been registered yet. After a complete probe we will take a decision on the case,” added the police officer.
Police have also called Jeetu’s three friends to whom he had given the clip. They will also be questioned.
