The hotel took home the trophy for the Most Luxurious Hotel Spa in India. Receiving the award, Tamir Kobrin, general manager of  the Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur, said, “We are proud and happy to be recognised for our passion to serve and care people. We embrace this commitment as we carry on our mission to create experiences that bring joy to our guests.” The AsiaSpa Awards recognise exceptional spas and have been instrumental in focusing international recognition on spas in India. Setting a benchmark in quality and innovation, these awards encourage the rapidly growing spa and wellness industry in the country. The nominations are processed and validated by a reputed audit firm.

This recognition comes close on the heels of the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur winning the Best Luxury Resort Spa in India award at the 2011 World Luxury Spa Awards, which celebrate excellence in service provided by the spa industry. These awards have an independent judging process based on spa guest votes, feedback and votes from a select global panel of industry professionals. Marinique Truter, executive manager of World Luxury Spa Awards, said, “Recipients of  this prestigious accolade see challenges as opportunities and stay ahead with strategic changes allowing facilities and service to stay on par with global  trends.”

The Leela Palace Kempinski, on the banks of Lake Pichola, opened its doors in April 2009. All its rooms and suites offer striking views of the lake and the surrounding heritage attractions. ESPA, the lavish spa located in the hotel’s courtyard, is equipped with spacious and well-appointed domed tents and treatment rooms set amidst fragrant trees and landscaped gardens.
